Respite Friends

Give Caregivers a Break

Respite Friends is a free training program that can help family, friends and members of groups, such as churches, and veteran’s organizations, safely and comfortably support caregivers.

Many of us want to help family or friends who are caring for people with dementia. But sometimes we’re not sure what to do.

During a two-hour session volunteers learn basic caregiving skills and how to develop a relationship with someone living with dementia. Volunteers have access to dementia care specialists before, during or after a visit.
